Students and other researchers who wish to conduct research in cooperation with me may find this page useful. The core of my academic and research interests are project management. Here, project is defined as a means to dealing with non-routine activities. The term “project” has a very broad scope ranging from construction works, R&D, IT, product development, to organizational change. Among favorite tools to be applied are modeling & simulation. I utilize Monte Carlo-based spreadsheet models to analyze static, stochastic systems. For dynamic systems I use System Dynamics Methodology. Interests in maintenance management can be traced back to my background in mechanical engineering. I used to do extensive research & industrial work in the area condition monitoring & predictive maintenance. All of above methods & techniques are grounded on the underlying concept of SYSTEM THINKING. | Project Management > | including Project Risk Management and other areas of PMBOK, Projects feasibility study | | Systems Thinking & Modeling > | Applications of systems thinking in modeling of highly complex industrial systems, including: Projects, Supply Chains. | | Spreadsheet Simulations > | Utilization of spreadsheets for modeling and stochastic simulations | | Product Design & Development > | 4D CAD, DoE, DFSS, Industrial Design | | Maintenance Management > | including predictive maintenance, TPM, RCM | | Innovation on Engineering Education > | Industrial Business incubator, Designers’ Catalyst, experiential learning |
